My mistake, I thought 2A6 Leo was a prototype only - I'm slightly behind

The Leopard 2A6 (and the latest Merkerva) has a fantastic shot-trap of a turret - if you shoot at the turret your shot will either be deflected straight up, or straight down. Straight up is very good. Straight down is very bad.

Hmm, I would like to point out an observation of mine (I stand ready to be corrected ). If the shot hits the "underside" of the shot trap, it will be declefted onto the front glacis plate, and I doubt it would penetrate. If it did not penetrate the turret, a deflected shot won't penetrate the glacis plate either .... ?

The frontal ''spearpoint'' looking armor plates are hollow inside, when a round hits this plates it will penetrate, but because there is a special structure in the add-on frontal armor it will shatter and hit the MAIN frontal armor (As on the Leopard2a4) and so the first round shot at you will leave little damage.

Nice Leopard2a6HEL pic btw

Abrams and Challenger 2 hands-down. Why? Because they got good guns (120mm), they have depleted uranium armor (then again which modern tank doesn't?), and I think they are cool. Wanna' know what else I think? They are the best!!! I don't know why somebody said the Leopard's the best because it's outgunned (120mm vs 105mm).

The T-90 is now meant to be one of the most well-protected tank in the world...
Not only is it encased in multi-layered armor consisting of eight Kontakt-5 sections on the front and 3 on the side, it's small, fast, has the lowest sillouhette of any conteporary MBT, sloped armor, and bristles with ERA containers placed strategically to be most effectife in deterring helicopters, attack aircraft and ATGM's. It is fitted with Shotra electronical countermeasures which reduce the hit probability of an ATGM by 75%, and is of course fitted with the standard array of smoke grenades, infared countermeasures and electrical signal jamming.

That is not correct. The Leopard 1 is perheps equipped with an 105mm but Leopard 2 has an 120mm gun.
